GOT STUFF TO GET RID OF AFTER THE SALE? Check out these helpful resources!
You don’t want to keep your things, but don’t want to throw them away either - then try these resources! We encourage you to always contact the organization in advance to determine their needs before donating any items.
And remember, Be a good neighbour:
Remove any balloons or posters from lampposts or street signs within 24 hours
Remove any garage sale price tags from items before donating
Remove old batteries from electronics before donating. Include instructions or manuals if you still have them
Clothing, towels, bedding & soft toys should be washed and stain/hole/rip-free
Some organizations may refuse your donation - and that’s okay. If it’s season-related, store them until fall and ask again later.
Do not dump items in front of businesses after-hours, in alleys, or near commercial dumpsters
Consider donating some of your garage sale profits to Grandview-Woodland Community causes you care about
